Gandhi’s Legacy: Houston Perspectives is an exploration of nonviolence and the resonance of Mohandas Gandhi’s philosophy by more than 20 cultural organizations across Houston, Texas.
An initiatve of the Menil Collection, the website allowed each institution to make its own contribution to this story of activism and social change, told though exhibitions, lectures, films, and various programs.
The website introduces the participating organizations and their offerings—an array of activities that explore the many forms that truth, justice, and community action have taken in and around Houston over the last sixty years.
Our design features expanding letterspace depending on the user’s browser width, from smartphone to the largest screen – an economical metaphor for the openness of the exhibition and for a community of small actors.
